Goettl Air Conditioning Puts the Past Aside by Creating a New Present

Goettl Air Conditioning was established in 1939 by two brothers, Gust and Adam Goettl. For years the company stood for great service and competent reliability in both equipment and service, but during the late 80’s and 90’s the company fell into a decline. It was owned by a large national company and there was little in the way of consistent management and motivation.

That is why when Ken Goodrich bought the company in 2013 he had to overcome some serious hurdles. Goodrich’s specialty has been the resurrection of failing companies which he has been able to accomplish a total of 15 times before his purchase of Goettl Air Conditioning.

This time had some special challenges such as no profit, no organization, low employee morale, and some lawsuits due to some business practices that were questionable at best. So Goodrich handled the problems in an old fashioned way, he doubled down by insisting that an incredible servicing and business be initiated that would overwhelm customers and give them no choice but do business with Goettl.

Goodrich’s focus was solely on customers and the employees who would have to service them, and it worked. He spends untold amounts of time in conversations with customers and employees until things began to turn around. And turn around it has, because now Goettl operates in Phoenix, AZ, Tucson, AZ, Las Vegas, NV, and Southern California. According to AZ Central, the company currently is showing an annual revenue amount of $50 million, a far cry from just a few years ago.

Goodrich chalks it all up to great cooperation from the employees and for the warm reception from the communities in which Goettl is located. It didn’t happen overnight, but the consistent effort and doing the job right certainly pays off.

According to The BroTalk, one feature that customers really like is the Members Maintenance Club. For just $12 a month, customers who join the club get an annual maintenance check-up, discounts on parts and service and a VIP emergency service. It is much better to find problems early instead of during the hot or cold seasons when all the repair techs are super busy.

Goodrich says that customers like to do business with competent firms whom they can trust and forget it. Goettl handles all of the major brands and they offer a 100 percent guarantee on any job that they do. The customer also gets a special Goettl flashlight that comes with each job.
